AmeriGas Propane: Tank Exchange, Refills and the St. George Office
AmeriGas does two different things: home and business propane delivery from local offices, and grill-tank exchange through partner stores and kiosks.
The facts, with sources
- AmeriGas grill tanks "contain a net weight of 15lbs of propane." Source: AmeriGas grill tank support
- AmeriGas accepts all brands of propane tanks for exchange, and some locations have 24/7 self-serve exchange kiosks. Source: AmeriGas: Buy, exchange or refill
- Some AmeriGas partner retailers refill your own tank instead; AmeriGas’s location finder shows which services each spot offers. Source: AmeriGas: Buy, exchange or refill
- The St. George AmeriGas office (3807 S 1600 E) says "Please, no walk in traffic at this location." It handles delivery, not tank fills. Source: AmeriGas St. George office page

If you need a portable tank or RV filled in the St. George area, the AmeriGas office isn’t the place. Try one of the confirmed refill stations instead.
